1864 (11 Mar.) envelope from Christchurch to Geneva Canton, bearing 2d. pale blue, Plate 1 (slightly worn) horizontal pair and 6d. red-brown, both with three margins
and each cancelled "17", showing an unidentified c.d.s. additionally tying the pair, despatch c.d.s., Marseilles c.d.s. (11.5) and "p.d." h.s. in red, the reverse with , Dunedin (16.3), French c.d.s.
(date unclear) and two Geneva c.d.s. (12.5); the 2d. pair damaged at top and the envelope with some repairs to flap though an attractive 10d. franking. Sc. 12g, 14; S.G. 38, 43. provenance: John
