#150, 10c Brown, an especially choice and wonderfully fresh mint example of a terribly difficult stamp, exceptionally well centered within uncharacteristically
large margins, luxuriously rich color and a sharp impression on bright paper, full o.g., relatively lightly hinged, extremely fine; in our opinion, the Ten Cent National Bank Note issue is one of the most underrated and undercataloged of all the Bank
Notes, as evidenced by its infrequent appearances in any condition, let alone in this premium condition; 1999 PSE certificate, as well as 2000 and 2009 PF certificates. (Image) |

#152, 15c Bright orange, a magnificent mint example of a stamp that is missing in the vast majority of even the most advanced collections we see, being one of
the finest in terms of its overall condition we have ever had the pleasure to offer, boasting a remarkable overall brilliance and radiant color, its centering is virtually flawless amid extravagantly large margins, full o.g., minor h.r., extremely
fine; a rare opportunity for the serious collector to acquire a gem mint #152, which, in our opinion, certainly qualifies as one of the finest mint singles in existence; 1989, 1998 and 2009 PF certificates.

#153, 24c Purple, a wonderful mint example of this perennially difficult Bank Note, possessing several features so often lacking on most existing copies, not the
least of which is its outstanding centering amid uncharacteristically large margins, plus its color is strong and fresh (not faded as is often the case), o.g., lightly hinged, extremely fine; a true condition rarity; 1989 PF certificate, as well as a
2009 PSE certificate (XF 90; SMQ $6,000.00); ex-"Gabade". (Image) |

#154, 30c Black, highly select unused example, incredibly well centered within well balanced margins, lovely color and a clean impression on fresh white paper,
extremely fine; the Thirty Cent National Bank Note stamp is rarely found this well centered, whether mint, unused or used; 1984 and 2005 PF certificates. (Image) |

#160, 7c Vermilion, an exceedingly handsome mint example in a quality far superior to most as this stamp features outstanding freshness, with color that is
bright and its impression sharp, while its centering approaches perfection amid very large margins, full o.g., lightly hinged, extremely fine; a true condition rarity in this gem condition; 1989 and 2005 PF certificates, as well as a 2009 PSE
certificate (XF 90; SMQ $3,750.00); this is the highest grade yet awarded by the PSE to any unused or original gum example of Scott #160; ex-Morris, McCree. (Image) |

#165, 30c Gray black, a magnificent quality mint example that boasts outstanding centering amid lavishly large balanced margins, wonderfully fresh color and an
uncommonly crisp impression, the reverse is just as impressive, with fresh clean o.g. that has just a faint trace of hinging, extremely fine; the Thirty Cent 1873 Continental Bank Note is one of the most challenging and surprisingly elusive stamps of
the entire Bank Note period to find in sound original gum condition, to find one that is also in premium condition is an almost impossible task; the example offered here is one of the finest, if not the finest, we have ever had the pleasure to
offer; 1985 and 2006 PF certificates; ex-Lewert. (Image) |

#167, 1c Ultramarine special printing, without gum as issued, incredibly well centered, intense shade and a sharp prooflike impression on bright paper, scissor
separated as almost always but leaving intact perforations all around, an extremely fine gem.As most seasoned collectors are aware, the 1875 Continental Special Printings on hard paper were almost always scissor separated when issued, causing the
vast majority to have trimmed or completely missing perforations on one or more sides. To find any one of the values with completely intact perforations is a challenge that requires patience, not to mention aggressive resolve when one finally makes
an appearance on the auction market. The remarkable stamp offered here is one of the very few that exists with its perforations completely intact - in combination being completely free of any flaws. Of the approximately 40 to 45 reported examples of
this rarity, no other copy comes close to the impressive overall physical attributes this stamp possesses. An incomparable condition rarity for the collector attempting to assemble the finest possible set of Bank Note Special Printings. Lightly
signed by George B. Sloane and accompanied by 1956, 1976, 2002 and 2006 PF certificates (the latter graded XF 90). The PSE in its Population Reports shows they have only graded one example of Scott #167 and it graded only F-VF 75. The extreme rarity
of this stamp in such outstanding condition is reflected in the SMQ valuation guide, as the highest grade they attempt to price is only a Fine 70 ($35,000.00), and that price bears little relation to the value of this unique stamp; ex-Engel,
Lutwak, Zoellner and Floyd. (Image) |

#168, 2c Dark brown special printing, without gum as issued, an attractive and sound example of this rarity, featuring deep rich color and a well incised
impression, scissor separated as almost always but with perforations completely intact on three sides, very fine; only approximately 75 copies of this stamp are thought to exist, the vast majority of which are found off center and with trimmed
perforations; 1971 PF certificate; ex-Lutwak. (Image) |

#170, 6c Dull rose special printing, without gum as issued, an absolutely fabulous quality example of this important special printing rarity, possessing centering
unlike any other existing copy, being nearly perfectly centered amid lavishly large margins, just as impressive is the fact that this stamp's perforations, while scissor separated, are completely intact all around, rich color on bright paper, an
extremely fine gem in every regard.A truly breathtaking example in the finest condition imaginable. The Six Cent 1875 Continental Bank Note Special Printing is one of the most difficult denominations to find in premium condition. That is what
makes this stamp so remarkable, as it is the antithesis of what is normally encountered. Of the approximately 35 to 40 surviving copies, the vast majority are not only found off center, but with small flaws and with their perforations trimmed on at
least one side. After a careful review of our records we are of the opinion that this stamp offered here from the Minervino collection is one of the top two finest Scott #170's in existence, with this stamp possessing the finer centering and larger
sized margins between the two.Accompanied by 1948, 1992 and 2009 PF certificates, as well as a 2009 PSE certificate (VF-XF 85; SMQ $58,500.00); ex-Floyd. (Image) |

#171, 7c Reddish vermilion special printing, without gum as issued, a superlative example of this rare stamp, magnificently well centered amid
uncharacteristically large margins, plus its color is deep and vibrant, even its perforations are fully intact all around which is a rare occurrence, extremely fine; easily one of the finest of the approximately 70 Seven Cent Hard Paper Special
Printings still thought to exist; 1979 and 2003 PF certificates, as well as a 2009 PSE certificate (VF-XF 85 - a rather conservative grade in our opinion given this stamp's outstanding physical attributes; SMQ $14,600.00 for VF 80, the highest
grade they price); the only example to have been awarded an 85 grade, with only one other grading higher in the PSE Population Report. (Image) |

#173, 12c Dark violet special printing, without gum as issued, extraordinarily well centered for this difficult and rare stamp, deep luxuriant color and
impression on bright paper, virtually intact non-scissor separated perforations all around (a rare occurrence), extremely fine for this; a review of our records reveals that this example is among the finest quality examples available of Scott #173
among a surviving population of approximately 70 copies; 1986 PF certificate; ex-Golin. (Image) |

outstanding centering and margins; 1980 and 2002 PF certificates. (Image) |

#176, 30c Greenish black special printing, without gum as issued, choice example of this rarity, possessing exceptional physical characteristics which place it among
the finest available of the approximately 45 to 50 still in existence, including being wonderfully well centered, intensely rich color and impression on bright paper, while scissor separated as usual, the perforations are virtually intact all
around, extremely fine; an important condition rarity; signed W.H.C. (Warren H. Colson) and accompanied by 1992 and 2001 PF certificates; ex-Floyd. (Image) |

#180, 2c Carmine vermilion special printing, without gum as issued, fabulously intense "fiery" color which is characteristic only to this important special
printing rarity, strong prooflike impression on wonderfully fresh paper, exceedingly well centered, fully intact non-scissor separated perforations all around, extremely fine; a gem in every regard. This spectacular stamp is arguably the finest
existing example of the 1875 Two Cent Carmine Vermilion Continental Special Printing. To date, there have been only 22 different examples certified as genuine Scott #180's by the Philatelic Foundation. Plus, there is an uncertified example in the New
York Public Library collection. Of this minute population, only two other stamps are somewhat comparable in quality to the magnificent example offered here, both of which have slightly larger margins. However, neither can compare in terms of this
stamp's remarkable overall condition, as its color could not be more vibrant, its impression more prooflike on brilliantly fresh paper, nor its perforations more intact.A rare opportunity to acquire one of the rarest stamps in United States
philately in outstanding condition. Lightly signed "SA" (Spencer Anderson) in pencil. Accompanied by a 2001 PF certificate, as well as a newly obtained 2009 PSE certificate (VF-XF 85; SMQ $140,000.00). The VF-XF 85 grade assigned by the PSE is the
highest awarded to any Scott #180, being one of only two to have been so graded. (Image) |
