It is generally assumed that 3-5 examples of all the "Panama-Pacific" small die proofs were made. In the case of the First Issue Newspaper series, however, we believe there are only two sets currently in existence. The other set is cut irregularly, making this set the finer of the two. All of the recent newspaper collections offered at auction, such as Warm-Griffiths, Braceland and Kotanchik (which all had comprehensive proofs and essays) did not have a set. A beautiful and incredibly rare set of newspaper proofs. Each is accompanied by a 2007 PF certificate.
