873°		1914, January 18, Koloa, Kauai, Hawaiian Islands Experimental Flying Exhibition (AAMC 78). 1c Green tied by unusually clear strike of "Koloa Jan. 20, 1914 11AM" duplex datestamp and cancel on picture postcard depicting Tom Gunn in flight, addressed to Honolulu Hawaii, purple "Aerial Mail Route/Tom Gunn/Carrier" three-line handstamp, red "Honolulu Hawaii Gen. Del. Jan. 21, 1914" double-circle datestamp, card with trivial corner bends VERY FINE. THIS IS THE FINER OF THE TWO PIECES OF MAIL KNOWN FROM THIS PIONEER FLIGHT. A GREAT PIONEER AIR POST AND HAWAIIAN RARITY. According to the American Air Mail Catalogue, Chinese aviator Tom Gunn made two flights on Jan. 18, and mail was carried on at least one of them.
