AN EXTREMELY RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 2-CENT 1894 ISSUE WITH DOUBLE IMPRESSION. THIS USED EXAMPLE MAY BE UNIQUE. According to Mr. Golden's notes, an unused block of four of the double impression variety was in the Atherton collection. Apart from that multiple and this used single, we are not aware of another example. 791°		1899, 2c Rose, Imperforate Horizontally (81b). Vertical block of six with mostly complete "(AME)RICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY, NEW YORK" imprint at bottom, original gum (slight glazing in spots), centered Fine-Very Fine, two tiny shallow thins and slight toning, virtually all in top right stamp and quite faint THE LARGEST RECORDED MULTIPLE AND THE ONLY IMPRINT BLOCK THAT SURVIVES FROM THE ONE PANE OF THE 1894 2-CENT PICTORIAL ISSUED WITHOUT HORIZONTAL PERFORATIONS. According to www.hawaiianstamps.com, the 2c 1894 Pictorial was printed and perforated in sheets of 200, arranged in four panes of 50, and only one pane of 50 was issued. The top imprint pair in the Honolulu Advertiser sale proves that this is the only imprint block that can possibly exist. Ex Ishikawa and Honolulu Advertiser.
